Clinton Transit offers walking bus service to St. Johns, DeWitt, Bath, East Lansing

ST. JOHNS, Mich. (WILX) – Clinton County is offering a new walk bus option for its residents.

Clinton Transit blue buses will be on standby weekdays at locations in St. Johns, DeWitt, Bath and East Lansing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The price is the same as the regular fare and anyone needing a ride can board.

“A person’s commute doesn’t show up to take them to work and we’re there because we’re parked in the apartment complex,” said MaLissa Schutt, executive director of Clinton Transit. “We believe the result will meet the need and allow us to improve our efficiency at the same time.”
