KC Metro to restore weekday bus service as icy roads melt
KING COUNTY, Washington. – The King County subway is restoring bus service after last week’s snowstorm, with officials saying the roads were finally cleared enough.
The agency suspended weekday service when western Washington was hit by a flurry of snow last week. This service will restart on Monday, although officials say some buses can still run on snow-covered roads or with chained shuttles.
A small percentage of trips may be canceled as service is restored. Metro therefore urges customers to use real-time trip planning tools, like the Puget Sound Trip Planner and the app, or texting Metro to 62550 to get SMS updates on departure times. .
