New $59 bus service from DC to Jersey Shore

OurBus is launching a new bus route from DC to the South Jersey Shore, the first direct bus service from DC to five New Jersey beach towns.

Intercity travel company OurBus is launching a new bus route from DC to the South Jersey Shore, the first direct bus service from DC to five New Jersey beach towns.

Fares start at $59 each way.

The route departs from DC five days a week, Thursday through Monday, and buses pick up passengers at multiple DC locations, including the Stadium Armory Metro stadium.

Buses from DC terminate in Galloway, New Jersey. Passengers then transfer to an SUV or Sprinter van to Absecon, Margate or Ventnor City, or take a shuttle to Ocean City or Wildwood.

This is a trip of approximately 4 and a half hours

OurBus operates a similar service from Manhattan to these Jersey Shore destinations.

“Residents in the DC area have been waiting for a clean, fast and economical way to get to their favorite beach towns in the southern Garden State. OurBus gives them a new user-friendly option,” said CEO Numaan Akram.

OurBus provides free bottled water, free Wi-Fi and USB ports at every seat. Charter style coaches are under contract with independent coach services.

OurBus, based in New York and founded in 2016, provides intercity services to more than 100 markets. It operates two dozen routes from DC, including Philadelphia, Richmond, Newark and Atlantic City.
